ASOLO Hiking Boots → Goat Lake

This spring to take my mind off finals, I started a list of lakes I want to hike to in the Sawtooths here in Idaho! Goat Lake was the first one on there because I've been wanting to go for a couple years now. I am so happy to now be able to check it off and see it in person!

I usually hike in old sneakers... and we all know that's not very good for our feet. If you think about it, our feet take all the impact from what we push on our bodies, especially while having an active lifestyle, it's pretty important to take care of them. I have loose joints too, so my ankles will always roll on the trail and that's so uncomfortable, my heart always skips a beat!

I finally upgraded this summer's hiking footwear into this light boot from ASOLO. This is a brand headquartered and family owned in Italy and they're quality built in Europe, so honestly, what could be better?! It's hard to believe, and I too was skeptical at first about weather wearing a hiking boot would feel too bulky for a day hike. I was proven wrong. These boots felt like a comfortable walking shoe but in my mind I knew I had the stabilization and confidence to hike over anything in our way! They made me think of a slipper - comfort wise - all the while being a hiking boot. The soles also grabbed the rock, almost like the base of a climbing shoe, so when Amanda and I got stuck scrambling through big boulders I felt confident I would stay upright.

REI has the best selection of ASOLO hiking shoes so I'm sure you will be able to find your style and color over there. I'm already looking forward to my next adventure in them!

xo, Hallie
