Lauren & Brooks | Malibu Dream Resort Wedding

I had the pleasure of heading down to Malibu for Lauren and Brooks’ big day! These two are pure light in human form. The people they surround themselves with are salt of the earth beings which made for such a special event. Getting ready and the reception were hosted at the Malibu Dream Resort, a venue that is out of this world. It felt like we were in the clouds throughout dinner, being in heaven, on Earth.

Lauren is the creator behind @re.Lauren which is her platform to spread awareness and ideas on how to be sustainable! Following along with her lifestyle, there were notable aspects of this day I absolutely loved. She wore Brooks’ mom’s wedding dress, catered vegan food, thrifted glassware for guests which were favors to bring home, table decor was imperfect produce that would have been tossed, bridesmaid robes were sustainably made, bridesmaid dresses were thrifted, and jewelry (including wedding bands) were ethically sourced and made from recycled metals!

Truly a weekend for the books with the ceremony in Santa Monica and the reception in Malibu, California. This is just the first wedding I’ve been flown out for so I’m excited to show you that I will do that, and meet you wherever you need me to be. I’m so grateful to call this a day in my life: to share one of the most important days of your life, being the photographer.
